Editors. Choosing an audio editor for android devices: MP3 Cutter (accountlab), Ringtone Slicer & Maker Beta, Music Editor (W2C) and Ringtone Maker Mp3 Editor Audio editor for android

Editing tags will not take so long now.

Introduction:

There are a lot of tag editing apps on Android, but not every one is perfect enough for every user to use it. The application does not pretend to be the best, but its functionality can definitely please every user. After all, you just need to press one magic button and voila - everything is edited and saved.

Functional:

The main screen displays a list of all the music files you have found, and at the very top is the same magic button. After clicking on it, all files that have no cover or incorrectly filled in the "Title", "Artist", "Album" fields will be corrected as far as possible. Of course, you can use the search to find a specific song if you have a lot of them, and edit them all separately. Having opened any song and if something is wrong in it, then the Auto Fix button will again appear at the top, which will fix everything in the open song. Your task is to enter the name of the song and its artist, and download the album and cover of the application yourself. If you used the Auto Fix button, then you can safely press Save and go to the next song. Of course, for the application to work, you definitely need the Internet, since all the information and covers are taken from some database, where, by the way, Russian performers are not very often found, but be sure to try!

Outcomes:

There are no settings in the application, everything works fine right after installation, and the application copes with the task with a bang! To summarize: - a very handy application that quickly and with just one button can fix problems in your music files. Enjoy your use!

Not so long ago, we finished studying video editors, which means it's time to turn our eyes to audio editors to compile a complete multimedia picture.

advertising

Yes, editing music, like it, is an "ignoble" affair, so there is nothing for experts in "fruttilups" to do here. Thus, all presented programs are more likely for cutting tracks into ringtones than for professional mixing. But why search the net for snippets of your favorite ringtones or alarm clocks when you can create something of your own? Agree, some very good songs start for a long time, but if this is a concert version, where the performer likes to exchange a few words with the fans? In general, it's worth figuring out.

However, we do not lose hope that such audio editors can do more than just "trim" music, it is not in vain that they receive such ratings on Google Play.

From the whole variety of the Google store, only four subjects were selected as the most relevant to our requests. Accountlab's MP3 Cutter is the simplest solution to get you up to speed. Next, a more serious participant will go - Ringtone Slicer & Maker Beta - which allows not only riveting ringtones, but applying various effects, as well as scaling the track to a millisecond. Well, two twin brothers will finish the review - "Music Editor" (W2C) and Ringtone Maker Mp3 Editor.

Despite their simplicity, these applications are quite omnivorous in formats and position themselves as music editors. It remains only to verify the statements made by the developers. I note right away that not only the popular mp3, wav, aac and amr formats were taken for testing, but also "apple" formats, as well as others - flac, m4a and m4r. A DEXP Ursus 8EV2 3G tablet (Android 4.4.2, MT8382 processor, 4 x 1300 MHz, 1 GB of RAM) was used as a test equipment.

MP3 Cutter (accountlab)

Acquaintance

The program offers trimming tracks for a ringtone, alarm clock and various notifications, as well as the ability to merge two fragments, which is already interesting. Not without an integrated player. And all this is offered absolutely free of charge (I don’t believe it until I check it).

The sad thing is that only mp3-files are supported, although the developer could have "forgotten" to mention support for other extensions.

Main functions:

  • Reading tracks from a memory card;
  • Ability to select mp3 files from the list;
  • Convenient track trimming using a slider;
  • Built-in mp3 player;
  • Ability to save file to SD card;
  • Ability to set the edited file as a ringtone.

Permissions:

Photos / Media / Files:

  • Changing / deleting data on a USB drive;
  • View data on a USB drive.
  • Unlimited Internet access;
  • View network connections;
  • Change system settings.

First impression

MP3 Cutter does not boast of its capabilities, does not force you to jump through the tabs, but immediately offers a complete list of available music, as well as two actions with the latter - cut and merge tracks. Not without an advertising banner at the very bottom - where without it.

advertising

For convenience, a quick search is provided. It is convenient, of course, but it would be better to specify the folders yourself, and not look through the list of everything that is there. Moreover, if there are a lot of tracks, and the names are in Latin, then the point in a quick search disappears altogether and you have to search with a simple scroll, which is extremely inconvenient.

There are no additional settings, as well as the ability to disable ads (a big minus), so the first impression of the program is not very good, although the simplicity of the interface, as well as navigation through the tools, pleases.

Testing

The MP3 Cutter eats about 60 MB with zero load on the processor, which cannot be called a big appetite, especially if you have at least gigabytes of RAM. At the same time, in the installed state, the program weighs 8.11 MB, which grew from 1.4 MB - what can take so much here is not clear, but the weight is still scanty, so I will not dig deeper. In terms of compatibility, everyone with Android 2.3 or higher is welcome. But with permissions, not everything is clear. Why does the program need unlimited Internet access (for the sake of advertising?) And changing the system settings for the hell of it is not clear.

advertising

Well, let's try to "chton" pile. Let's start with cropping. After we tapped the track, its frequency distribution opens - a blue graph on a gray background, which is quite clear. There are no frequency markings, so this is more of an embellishment than a benefit, although a sophisticated user will be able to identify transitions, choruses, and so on.

In this case, you can navigate the track both with swipes and manually using the arrows at the very bottom (right next to the advertisement). Not without a 15-second timeline, as well as a helpful automatic trimming of the first ten seconds.

advertising

Interestingly, trimming is carried out only from one end, more precisely the beginning of the track, that is, you will not be able to select a specific area. But when scaling, this opportunity appears. An interesting, of course, approach, but at least this way, than without cropping at all on both sides. Not without the ability to play the cut-out area. In this case, the scale moves smoothly and visually along the playback time. There is no other visualization.

After trimming, you can save our creation (button in the lower right corner). In order not to lose the melody, the program helpfully added the prefix "call signal" to the track title. You can’t say anything - it’s convenient. You can save only in mp3 and the program only works with mp3. Immediately after saving the track, we put it on a call, alarm clock or notification, and also send it to a partner. It should be noted that the signal will be growing, that is, not the selected piece will sound, but a smoothly starting melody.

advertising

After that, your work will appear in the "trimmed tones" tab. Now let's try to combine these two pieces into a potpourri. To do this, select the desired track (two or more) and click "merge". Two files appear at the very bottom of the screen, so you won't be able to notice them right away. By the way, fragments can be swapped, that is, the order can be changed, and then saved by specifying a name yourself.

Voila, and here we have an assortment of two tracks. Everything works without any jambs, the transition between songs is smooth. Now let's figure out what it all cost us, in addition to non-disabled advertising.

advertising

The consumption of RAM jumped to 83.4 MB, and the processor strained up to 6.3%, which is not surprising, because codecs were still used. As for the battery, it suffered 63.2% (4000 mAh), that is, half of the battery died in 15 minutes, during which two files were cut and merged. Well, he reproduced what he had done a couple of times. Hmmm ... wouldn't it be easier to turn to the desktop version. Traffic ... advertising has gone nowhere a modest 650 KB. If the application had not been connected to the network via Wi-Fi, the battery consumption would have been much less. Indeed, why do you need these full-screen animated banners, which you immediately close, almost not paying attention to their content.

conclusions

Thus, you can make a ringtone in just a couple of clicks of taps / swipes, without bothering with other formats and effects. The possibility of self-expression is also provided, since the program allows you to glue fragments. We will keep silent about resource consumption for now, since it is not yet clear whether this is the norm for such programs or not. Let's move on to the next participants.

This is a mobile application for smartphones on the android platform. It serves as a music recorder, editor and of course a mixer. The number of application decoders allows you to edit and mix audio recordings in MP3, MP4, WAV, AAC, OGG and AMR formats. You can create new tracks with the instruments and save them in MP3 format.
Those with exceptional vocal abilities can create their own composition by simply importing the recorded voice.

So in there are opportunities to shift the time of audio files, cut them.
The presence of an equalizer allows you to perform additional manipulations with audio files. Users can customize pitch, echo, audio track filtering, and load and save custom settings.
The developers were not stingy to provide a starter set of presets (standard sound sets) to create a musical composition from scratch. So, at the disposal of the user, there are bass, hall vibration, concert hall vibration, etc. You can adjust each of the effects in real time, while listening to the effect of the changes you make.

The program has a karaoke function and the ability to share with friends, which will allow you to quickly send and receive the desired composition. You can move audio tracks by synchronizing your voice with music.
The interface is no worse than the look of professional DJ setups. For entertainment, there is a graphic equalizer. This free app contains ads. Ads appear after every action and greatly interfere with the correct use of the application. It is difficult to manage the program in real time, you need to adapt for a long time. And therefore, despite the large number of downloads, it is not very popular.

Average user rating is 3.5.
The program has no bugs in its work. Doesn't require a fair amount of RAM. Note that it will be more convenient to work with music with headphones or speakers. The audio editor installation file is 7.2 MB. Once installed, the size of the application will grow as songs are downloaded.
In any case, you can try downloading to your android smartphone and try to work with music.
