The section "Optimal gaming PC" is a logical addition to the series of articles "". Last year, we are included in the launch assembly as well. Much has changed since then. AMD introduced the second generation Ryzen processors, and Intel has finally released low-end chipsets for the LGA1151-v2 platform. In this issue, we will compare AMD and Intel systems that cost up to RUB 100,000 - in the Computer of the Month classification they appear as “”. These PCs allow the user to comfortably play all modern games in Full resolution HD and even WQHD. Also, the article will consider the performance of adjacent systems - configurations that cost a little less and, conversely, a little more.

⇡ Justification for the choice of components

Taking into account the indicated budget, we can afford to buy a PC with a six-core processor, a set of high-frequency RAM of 16 GB, a video card with 8 GB of memory, and an SSD with a volume of 240-256 GB. Assemblies based on AMD AM4 and Intel LGA1151-v2 platforms are as follows.

CPU AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, 6 cores and 12 threads, 3.6 (4.2) GHz, 8 + 8 MB L3, AM4, OEM RUB 15,500
Intel Core i5-8600, 6 cores, 3.2 (4.3) GHz, 9 MB L3, LGA1151-v2, OEM RUB 16,500
Motherboard AMD B350 RUB 9,000
Intel Z370 Express RUB 9,000
RAM 16 GB DDR4-3200 RUB 15,000
Video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5 34,000 rubles.
Storage devices HDD, 1 TB, 7200 rpm, SATA 6 Gb / s RUB 3,000
SSD, 240-250 GB, SATA 6 Gb / s RUB 6,000
CPU cooler Tower type RUB 1,500
Frame Midi-Tower RUB 4,000
Power Supply 600 watts RUB 5,000
Total AMD - 93,000 rubles.
Intel - 94,000 rubles.

The table shows the actual prices at the time of this writing, taken in the computer store "Regard" and rounded up to a multiple of 500 rubles. Naturally, during the "life cycle" of the material (autumn 2018), the cost of certain goods can both increase and decrease. Therefore, the systems in the table are selected with a certain margin for the price. Unfortunately, already at the stage of article layout, the ruble began its next fall in relation to the American currency. The cost of software was not taken into account in the calculations, only components were assessed.

The systems use practically the best in their series 6-core models of central processing units. The AMD assembly uses the Ryzen 5 2600X chip - you can get acquainted with a detailed analysis of this processor in. The Intel computer has a Core i5-8600 model - the coolest in the Core i5 (Coffee Lake) series can only be a version with an unlocked multiplier, namely. Prior to 2nd Gen Ryzen processors, AMD's optimal build used the Ryzen 5 1600X, and before the Coffee Lake family, Intel used a 4-core (but 8-thread) Core i7-7700. As you can see, in terms of CPU speed, Intel's configuration has progressed quite seriously over the past year.

Regular readers know that in "Computer of the Month" we focus on the majority of users - and this very majority does not want to get involved with overclocking. Therefore, the optimal assembly uses some of the fastest CPUs in their series. At the same time, all Ryzen chips are equipped with an unlocked multiplier, so the performance of these chips can always be increased if desired. The Ryzen 5 2600X model makes sense to buy for those who are not going to overclock anything. So, with a 12-thread load, the processor runs at 3.95 GHz - Precision Boost 2 and XFR2 technologies do their job. On our own, the Ryzen 5 2600X is only up to 4.15 GHz. Some successful examples are overclocked to 4.2 GHz. As you can see, the transition to a 12-nanometer process technology slightly increased the overclocking frequency potential of the "red" chips. At the same time, it became clear that the Pinnacle Ridge generation turned out to be more voracious and hotter. Our tests show that overclocked to 4.15 GHz Ryzen 5 2600X is inferior in some games to itself, running in default mode. Why this happens is quite obvious: Precision Boost 2 and XFR2 technologies are so intelligent that under a gaming load, which almost never can use all the cores of a multi-core processor, they very aggressively increase the frequency and take the older Pinnacle Ridge one step above the limit that is achievable with manual synchronous overclocking of all cores at once. It turns out that when buying a Ryzen 5 2600X, the owner of this chip gets the maximum performance, as they say, out of the box.

Those who plan to overclock AMD processors, can safely purchase the cheapest six-core Ryzen. Under certain conditions, the Ryzen 5 1600 (11,500 rubles) will accelerate to a stable frequency of 3.9 GHz - the performance level of this chip will practically match the performance of the Ryzen 5 2600X model. I have already noted more than once that the rule “ if I overclock the processor, then I will take the lowest chip in the series with the desired number of cores»Relevant for all models: Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7.

At the same time, for the Ryzen 5 2600X (and other second-generation Ryzen chips) to work, it is important to have an effective cooler in your arsenal. Alas, in an optimal assembly, you can no longer do without a tower-type cooling system. In my opinion, there is no need to chase the ultra-efficient and most expensive models (but you can). For example, a Thermaltake Contact Silent 12 cooler (1,500 rubles) is enough for a gaming PC. The efficiency of this CO (screenshot above) is quite enough for the Ryzen 5 2600X in games to work at a maximum frequency that varies within 4-4.2 GHz.

Closing the topic of processor cooling, I note that a high-quality cooler will also not hurt a Core i5-8600 processor, since the six-core Coffee Lake is very difficult to call cold. This statement, Core i5-8400.

Another option to save on a processor in the AMD assembly is to buy a 4-core Ryzen 5 1500X processor (11,000 rubles), but such a move does not make any sense in light of the practically absent price difference between this model and the previously mentioned 6-core Ryzen 5 1600 The option with Ryzen 5 1400 (10,000 rubles) is not recommended to be considered within the framework of the optimal assembly. It has a clock speed of 300 MHz lower than that of the Ryzen 5 1500X, and besides, the cache of the third level is cut in half - it is only 8 MB. that the Ryzen 5 1400 + GeForce GTX 1070 bundle looks, to put it mildly, not very good.

If it comes on the purchase of a more productive chip than the Ryzen 5 2600X, then we can only look towards 8-cores. At the time of this writing, the difference between the cheapest model (Ryzen 7 1700, 16,500 rubles) and the most expensive (Ryzen 7 2700X, 23,500 rubles) was a decent 7,000 rubles, so the most profitable way would be to buy a younger CPU with its subsequent overclocking. The same Ryzen 7 1700 will overclock to 3.9 GHz without any problems. Without overclocking, this chip is inferior to Ryzen 5 2600X in games - I have already provided links to tests above.

As for the Intel LGA1151-v2 platform, instead of the Core i5-8600, we can purchase junior 6-cores. If, when loading all six cores and using the MCE function, the Core i5-8600 frequency is guaranteed to increase to 4.1 GHz, then the Core i5-8400 (13,500 rubles) and Core i5-8500 (14,500 rubles) models run slower - the frequency of these CPUs when loading all six cores is 3.8 and 3.9 GHz, respectively.

The option of purchasing a 4-core model Core i3-8350K (14,000 rubles) is not at all interesting, since even the presence of an unlocked multiplier on this CPU does not allow us to consider this chip seriously - in comparison with the Core i5-8400 both in multi-threaded programs and in games.

But there are only two ways to increase the performance of the computing part. Firstly, instead of the Core i5-8600, it is really possible to take the version with an unlocked multiplier - Core i5-8600K (18,000 rubles). Note that these chips operate at the same 4.1 GHz frequency when all six cores are loaded. So it makes sense to take the K-processor only for overclocking - the assembly uses a board based on the Z370 Express chipset.

Secondly, instead of the Core i5-8600, you can take the Core i7-8700 (22,500 rubles) - this model operates at a higher frequency (4.3 GHz versus 4.1 GHz), has 3 MB more cache in the third level (12 MB versus 9) and supports Hyper-Threading technology.

Yes, in an Intel-based configuration, we could have taken a cheaper motherboard based on the B360 and H370 Express chipsets, since the Core i5-8600 offered in the optimal build does not have an unlocked multiplier. However, the system uses a set of high-frequency RAM - if we had chosen a motherboard based on low-end chipsets, we would have had to take DDR4-2666 RAM. This topic is covered in detail in the article "". I will only note that buying a less expensive motherboard and memory will save us about 2-3 thousand rubles, if we take a not-so-cheap motherboard.

And it is simply impossible to buy absolutely cheap! In June, the five most affordable motherboards for the Coffee Lake generation processors - and testing has clearly shown that such motherboards are poorly suited for performing resource-intensive tasks. Despite the official support for even the 6-core Core i7-8700K chip, I still consider the 6-core Core i5-8400 to be the ceiling for H310 boards. For example, an ASRock H310M-HDV power converter with such a CPU heats up to 130 degrees Celsius under heavy load.

In an AMD system, I recommend using motherboards based on B350 / B450 chipsets. They support both CPU overclocking and high frequency RAM... It makes sense to use motherboards based on X370 / X470 logic mainly in the case of using arrays AMD graphics cards CrossFire or NVIDIA SLI x8 + x8 PCI Express 3.0. Let me remind you that AM4 boards based on the junior chipset only support CrossFire technology and only in x8 + x4 mode.

Mid-priced motherboards based on the Z370 chipset, as a rule, support both CrossFire and SLI according to the x8 + x8 PCI Express 3.0 scheme. Bandwidth it turns out to be enough to, for example, assemble a powerful gaming system with a pair of GeForce GTX 1080 Ti in harness.

Traditionally, the optimal assembly of "Computer of the Month" uses a dual-channel set of 16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM. that so many "brains" are still enough for all modern games. In addition, as I have already noted, RAM modules operating at an effective frequency of 3000+ MHz significantly increase system performance - including in games. For the AMD AM4 platform, I recommend using memory with Samsung chips, because they are most likely to run on such systems. For example, the Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2D3200C16 kit (15,000 rubles) worked without any problems at the declared frequencies and timings together with Ryzen 5 2600X and GIGABYTE AORUS B450 PRO. The proof is shown in the screenshot below.

However, memory savings can be saved in an optimal assembly. For example, instead of the Corsair kit, it is really possible to purchase Samsung modules labeled as Mxxxxxxxxxxxx-CRC operating at the effective frequency of 2133 and 2400 MHz (12,000 rubles). They quietly overclock up to 2933 and even up to 3066 MHz with some increase in delays and timings.

Of course, no one bothers to take a 32 GB kit instead of a 16 GB memory kit - and at the same time forget about the RAM upgrade forever. However, such a move will noticeably inflate the budget allocated for the purchase of a system unit.

As for the read-only storage devices, the system offers an unbreakable SSD + HDD union. The organization of the disk subsystem in a PC is a purely individual topic, and therefore constantly causes a lot of controversy. In addition, the cost of storage devices varies greatly. But still the best option I consider using a 240-256GB SATA SSD and a 1TB hard drive. Classics, so to speak.

Captain Obvious suggests that the main element in any gaming PC is the graphics card. For a long time now, the Optimum PC Build of the Month has been using the GeForce GTX 1070 - this graphics adapter is great for all modern games in Full HD resolution. Using maximum settings quality, of course. The option is much cheaper and much slower - this is the purchase of a GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB (from 21,000 to 27,500 rubles) or a Radeon RX 580 8 GB (from 23,000 to 29,000 rubles). More expensive and more productive options are the purchase of a GeForce GTX 1070 Ti (from 33,500 to 47,500 rubles) or a GeForce GTX 1080 (from 39,000 to 49,000 rubles).

Unfortunately, the main competitor of the GeForce GTX 1070 - the Radeon RX Vega 56 - costs significantly more. The reference model can be taken for 42,500 rubles, the price of custom versions of "Vega" varies from 43,500 to 52,500 rubles.

As you know, on September 30, the GeForce GTX 1170 model will go on sale (in fact, it will be called the GeForce RTX 2070), which, quite logically, will be faster than the GeForce GTX 1070. I have already noted that in the most optimistic scenario, only in October, and the purchase of a video card at the manufacturer's recommended price will be obtained, I suppose, in November-December. In addition, new video cards will cost significantly more than their predecessors anyway. Taking into account the next steep peak of the national currency, it is possible that the GeForce RTX 2070 will not be "registered" in the optimal assembly of the "Computer of the Month" very soon. So, with a high degree of probability, the relevance of the GeForce GTX 1070 will last all autumn. However, the performance level of the GeForce GTX 2060 remains to be seen.

The assembly uses a 600 W power supply. It is clear that such systems do not need so many watts. For example, an assembly with a Core i7-8600 and a GeForce GTX 1070 in games consumes a maximum of 250 watts. However, there are several arguments for choosing just such models. First, the difference in price between 400, 500 and 600W devices is negligible. Secondly, any power supply unit operates with maximum efficiency at loading in the range of 40-60%. In this mode, the PSU components heat up less, and the fan operates at a reduced speed. Thirdly, models with a power of 600-700 W have elementary more cables with the necessary connectors.

It is really pointless to take power supplies with a capacity of 1 kW or more in home systems with one processor and a pair of video cards.

For clarity, some of the savings and surcharges are shown in the tables below. You can safely focus on them. It is clear that you can "save" until you blue in the face, because the system unit includes nine main components.

The components listed in the table are fully compatible with each other. The process of assembling the system blocks passed without any delays or complications. For those who have never assembled a PC on their own, I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the assembly of the system unit.

In my opinion, using the listed components, a very nice system has turned out. About RAM, processors and drives used in an optimal PC, I have already described in detail in the previous paragraph. Let's take a closer look at other hardware. So, at the heart of the AMD assembly is the ATX form factor GIGABYTE AORUS B450 PRO motherboard.

For a system worth 100,000 rubles, I would like to get the most functional board. So, the GIGABYTE AORUS B450 PRO is equipped with a high-quality Intel I219-V gigabit network controller and a Realtek ALC1220-VB sound chip. The audio codec has a signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dB and an intelligent amplifier that automatically detects the impedance of the connected headphones. The manufacturer notes that the new VB-series controller is capable of high-quality broadcasting of your speech to the Network by means of a microphone connected to a 3.5 mm jack on the front or rear panel. In addition, the path is equipped with special WIMA FKP2 capacitors.

On the I / O-panel of the board, two are soldered at once USB port 3.1 Gen2 - A- and C-types. The most interesting thing is that the GIGABYTE AORUS B450 PRO does not come with a cover for the back of the case - this element is already built into the I / O panel of the board. And this is very, very cool - I sincerely hope that other manufacturers will also start doing this.

GIGABYTE AORUS B450 PRO has two M.2 ports at once, equipped with aluminum radiators. The top slot accepts 2242/2260/2280/22110 SSDs, SATA 6Gb / s and PCI Express x4 3.0 are supported. The bottom M.2 slot supports SSD installation formats 2242/2260/2280, two PCI Express 3.0 lines are connected to it. There are also six SATA 6 Gb / s connectors at once.

Subsystem power supply GIGABYTE AORUS B450 PRO has 7 phases, field effect transistors Lower RDS (on) VRM circuits are cooled using two rather large aluminum radiators. Therefore, the board will have no problems when working not only with the Ryzen 5 2600X, but also with the Ryzen 7 2700X, including in serious overclocking (if that makes sense, of course).

The novelty is equipped with five 4-pin connectors, even fans up to 24W are supported. Using Smart Fan 5 technology, you can control impellers with or without PWM (those fans that come with 3-pin connectors). In addition, the board houses five temperature sensors that track the heating of the chipset, power converter, top M.2 slot, and the area next to the audio chip.

The GIGABYTE Z370XP SLI model used in the Intel assembly, in my opinion, is not much inferior to the previously reviewed board. For example, this device is also equipped with high-quality network and sound processors. With the Intel I219-V gigabit controller, everything is clear and so, but the audio subsystem GIGABYTE Z370XP SLI, built on the Realtek ALC1220 chip, is also equipped with a smart headphone amplifier with a signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dB. Naturally, special audio capacitors are used in the path.

The GIGABYTE Z370XP SLI also has two M.2 ports - both work in PCI Express x4 3.0 mode. The top one supports SSD up to 110mm, the bottom one up to 80mm.

There are also two USB 3.1 Gen2 ports on the I / O panel. The design is the same - these are A- and C-type connectors. As you can see, the assemblies discussed in this article have similar functionality.

The power subsystem of the board has seven phases, which is quite enough for the operation of Coffee Lake processors, including models with an unlocked multiplier. Two aluminum radiators are responsible for cooling the elements of the VRM zone.

As I said, mid-range motherboards based on the Z370 Express chipset support not only AMD CrossFire technology, but also NVIDIA SLI. Both PCI Express x16 3.0 slots of the GIGABYTE Z370XP SLI are additionally reinforced with reinforcement. Plus, these connectors have double locking and additional soldering points. In total, according to the manufacturer, such design solutions strengthen PEG connectors by 1.7 times at fracture load and 3.2 times at pull-out load.

Finally, five connectors for case fans are soldered on the board, all of them are 4-pin. Without exception, all connectors allow you to adjust the speed of the impellers with or without pulse width modulation. There are also two connectors on the board for connecting the LSS pump. The bottom port SYS_FAN3_PUMP comes in handy when using a custom water cooling system when the pump and water block are separated from each other in the circuit.

Also GIGABYTE Z370XP SLI has five temperature sensors at once. You can monitor the heating performance of the power converter and chipset, as well as areas near the topmost PCI Express x16 slot and audio path.

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8G (GV-N1070G1 GAMING-8GD V2)

Moving on to the video card. The GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8G is equipped with a fairly efficient WINDFORCE 3X cooling system: the cooler of the device consists of three 77-mm fans and a three-section radiator with two heat pipes - the so-called direct contact technology is used. Memory chips, as well as elements of the power subsystem, also interact with the radiator through thermal pads. The manufacturer claims that the blades with peculiar ridges increase the airflow by 23%. The length of the graphics adapter is exactly 280mm. The second interesting point - the card turned out to be low, that is, the ergonomics of the GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming are all right.

The orange stripes on the plastic case do not glow, but the inscriptions GIGABYTE and Fan Stop are very even. Visual effects and color are customizable in the AORUS GRAPHICS ENGINE app. For example, the backlight can pulsate to the beat of the music, and fade out or change depending on the GPU temperature. As you might guess, the Fan Stop inscription lights up when the fans stop. In 2D, the GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming is completely silent.

The back of the accelerator is equipped with a metal backplate. The plate is monolithic - it covers the entire area of the printed circuit board. The photo above clearly shows that the cooler is attached to the PCB in two places: near the chip and in the area of the power subsystem.

The set of video outputs for this variation of the GeForce GTX 1070 is standard: one DVI, three DisplayPort and one HDMI. Even small openings are provided on the grill to discharge heated air outside the case.

The power subsystem of the GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8G is made according to the 6 + 2 scheme. The GPU can operate in two modes: the default is Gaming Mode, in which the GPU frequency corresponds to 1594 (1784) MHz, and in OC Mode, activated in the AORUS GRAPHICS ENGINE application, the GPU frequency increases to 1620 (1822) MHz ... As you can see, the factory overclocks at 88 and 114 MHz are applied here, respectively.

Thermaltake Contact Silent 12

The Thermaltake Contact Silent 12 cooler is responsible for cooling the central processors in assemblies. The model supports both the most common platforms - AMD AM4 and LGA1151-v2. This is a tower cooler with one 120 mm fan, the rotational speed of which varies in the range of 500-1500 rpm. In addition, the set includes an LNC adapter that allows you to reduce the fan speed to values of 400-1100 RPM.

A 153 mm high heatsink is responsible for removing heat from the processor. It includes four copper heat pipes and 43 aluminum fins. The technology of direct contact of the cooler sole with the central processor is used. As you can see, Thermaltake Contact Silent 12 has a rather modest size, but the device, according to the manufacturer, is capable of dissipating up to 150 W of thermal energy. Earlier I wrote that Thermaltake's “tower” provides effective work and Ryzen 5 2600X, and Core i5-8600 - which is what we need.

Thermaltake Smart RGB 600W

The Thermaltake Smart RGB 600W PSU used in the assembly also meets all the requirements. On the one hand, the model has non-detachable cables, but the photos above show that they do not interfere in any way. The length of the wires is decent, I did not experience any problems with routing in the Midi-Tower case. At the same time, the Thermaltake device is capable of powering a video card with two 8-pin connectors without any adapters.

Models in the Smart RGB series, as the name implies, are equipped with backlighting, which is controlled by a button located on the outside. 10 colors are available to the user. The manufacturer claims that the model is equipped with a silent 120 mm fan - and indeed, under load, the PSU works quite quietly.

According to technical specifications, the power supply supports the 80 PLUS standard, that is, its efficiency at any load does not drop below 80%. At the same time, the power supply unit is capable of transmitting up to 504 watts of electricity through a 12-volt line. It is at this indicator that you need to look at the layout of the system unit. For the stable operation of the systems considered in the article, the declared watts are quite enough. As practice has shown, Thermaltake Smart RGB 600 W coped with overclocking processor core i5-8600K, and with the installation of a more powerful video card - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

Finally, all the components were assembled in the Fractal Design Focus G. This Swedish company has long earned a name in our market. Focus G, so to speak, belongs to the entry class - especially when compared to, say, the Fractal Design Define R6 Blackout TG Black. Nevertheless, this case allows you to assemble a very productive system, since it supports ATX motherboards, video cards up to 380 mm in length and processor coolers up to 165 mm in height.

You couldn't help but notice that a red version of the Focus G came to our test lab, but you will find black, white, blue and gray variations of this case on sale. In all cases, one of the walls is equipped with a plastic window - I recommend assembling the system as carefully as possible so that it is beautiful.

Front and top panel as well as the bottom of the case are equipped with dust filters. Focus G supports installation of power supplies up to 230 mm in length. Also, a basket with two seats is fixed at the bottom - without the help of a screwdriver, you can fix two 3.5-inch drives. Or you have to work with your hands to fit the 2.5-inch SSD in the sled. Another solid state drive can be fixed in the area of the motherboard tray.

By default, the Focus G comes with two 120mm Silent fans LL equipped with white LEDs. They are attached to the front of the case. In my opinion, it is better to move one of them to the back panel and make it blow out the heated air. Instead of the drive cage, you can install another 120mm fan. At the top there is room for two 120- or 140-mm "Carlsons". You can also attach a 240 mm liquid cooling system radiator here. Another 240 / 280mm two-piece radiator can be installed on the front of the Focus G.

Hello Sergey. It's always nice to talk to a decent person. As far as I understand, you mean that the Intel Core i7-5820k processor, compared to the older ones, has only 28 PCI-E lanes against 40? The number of supported PCI Express 3.0 lanes in the Core i7-5820k has been reduced to 28 pieces. At first glance, such a cut in the possibilities looks illogical, because the PCI Express controller, which does not allow the implementation of two full-fledged PCIe x16 slots, is the lot of LGA 1150 systems. However, in this case, Intel can be forgiven for such a loose use of the characteristics. Past junior processors of the Ivy Bridge-E and Sandy Bridge-E series, Core i7-4820K and Core i7-3820, had a quad-core design. Now, while maintaining the price of the junior model in the 400-dollar framework, we are offered a 1.5-fold increase in the number of cores. The lack of the ability to build multi-GPU configurations operating according to the x16 / x16 formula does not look too much of a sacrifice against such a background. Moreover, as we well know from LGA 1150 systems, even in the case of the formula for the operation of x8 / x8 PCIe graphics slots, the performance of SLI and CrossfireX configurations is almost unlimited from above, so the proposed Core i7-5820K x16 / x8 scheme is clearly a disaster. does not look. Moreover, this relatively inexpensive processor, in contrast to the CPU for the LGA 1150, leaves room for the formation of a three-component graphics subsystem, which will work according to the x8 / x8 / x8 formula. The only thing that the Core i7-5820K is fundamentally inferior to its older brothers is that it cannot be used to form an SLI configuration with four video cards. As you can see, here is a "turnkey" configuration, without a future upgrade, that is, no one was going to install several Quadro / Tesla video cards here, it is in this assembly that the processor is directly involved in the calculations. Now let's look at the graph:
It can be seen that at a noticeably lower price, the Intel Core i7-5820k processor provides almost the same computing performance as significantly more expensive solutions. That is, to put it simply, buying Intel Core i7-5820k, we practically do not lose in performance, but we win very financially. So in this case the purchase Intel processor The Core i7-5820k is more than justified. Sergey, you suggest purchasing a Core i7-5960X Extreme Edition and four Tesla cards, but if you were a little more attentive, you could see in the topic header that in this assembly we were strictly limited by a budget of 120,000 rubles. Today the cost of one nVidia Tesla K20 video card starts at 200,000 rubles. It is very easy to leave a comment without going into the essence.

The article was updated: 01.10.2017. The information provided is current for the first half of 2018.

It's time to rewrite the system with a new processor from the Kaby Lake family. Prices also dropped slightly following the dollar, so you can safely take a computer for the next couple of months.

Yes, 100 thousand rubles is a lot of money and not everyone can afford to spend it on a computer. However, if you want a truly productive platform, then you have to spend money. But with such a powerful and productive system, you can afford a lot. Play all modern games: GTA 5, Fallout 4, The Witcher 3 and others at ultra settings and even stream all this or record it for further processing in Sony Vegas, for example. Agree, not bad? Therefore, let's rather go directly to the choice!

Final configuration

So we finished assembling a computer for 100,000 rubles. It turned out to be productive and will be enough for 5 or more years to come. Let's take a look at the final system.

Now that's all for sure. It is very easy to assemble a computer yourself. It looks like a constructor, and all ports and connectors are signed, it is almost impossible to make a mistake, you just need to be careful and take your time. Good luck!
