Create a transparent background. Online program Pixir - make a transparent background for a picture. Why is this necessary?

Greetings, dear readers of my blog!

Recently I needed remove background from the picture, I'm not particularly good with Photoshop. And I’ll tell you that I don’t even have it on my computer. (Well, actually, that’s right, why do I need something that I don’t know how to work with).

But the background from the picture had to be somehow removed, so I started surfing the Internet, looking for a solution to my problem. There are actually a lot of options, but I was looking for something easier)). I found a very easy and simple way to remove the background from a picture.

So, let's get started. We'll need Photoshop, but I don't have it. I use online Photoshop. It’s a very convenient thing, I’ll tell you. And of course, the picture whose background we want to make transparent.

I’ll show you an example of this picture, we’ll remove the white background

Let's go to online Photoshop. I used this one PIXLR

Select: Upload an image from your computer.

Now in the window on the right "LAYERS" I need to open the lock

Click on it 2 times with left button mouse, a check mark should appear in the box.

Now go to the panel on the left and select the tool "Magic wand" and set tolerance to 21.

That seems to be all, but I’m not completely satisfied with the picture, there are still remnants of the background, I again click on the place that I want to remove. Then “edit” ---- “clear”. And so on until you remove everything you need.

Very often when creating greeting cards or video I came across the question: How can this be done without knowledge photoshop?

Anyone who is familiar with Photoshop will do this without difficulty. But not everyone has studied this yet smart program. How can they be? Is there really no way out?

After all, there is always a desire to make our presentations, congratulations, and pages the most attractive and professional. I have already told you how to use the program for these purposes. It will help you make your pictures and you can even use it to make your first one.

And now I’ll tell you another secret: today you will learn how to make the background of a picture transparent. Moreover, you will do it absolutely free and spend only 2 minutes of your time.

Let's get down to business.

Find the picture you like. To begin with, it should be an image on a non-multilayered background - for example, on a white one. Go to the service page. You don't need to go through a tedious registration procedure. Just click on the online service link.

The following window will open in front of you:

Press " Upload an image from your computer". Select the picture you have prepared. You can place it in separate folder in images. Or on your desktop, so you don’t have to search for it for a long time. Click once on this picture and press " open".

The picture appears on the server page:

There are 3 windows coming out on the right and in the middle of them there is a padlock. Click on it 2 times with the left mouse. This will open the door to magic.

On the left side you see the panel " Tools", one of which is that " Magic wand", which we will now use. Click on it once, and then click on any empty space in the background of the picture you selected. A dotted line will appear around the image.

The final step towards transformation: press the " Del" (delete) on your computer. The background becomes a checkered area. If not all the space around is covered by the checkered area, touch this place again with the magic wand and press the "Del" button

A window appears asking you: “Save the image before closing?” Click " Yes".

One of the most interesting features Photoshop is about making objects transparent. Transparency can be applied not only to the object itself, but also to its fill, leaving only the layer styles visible.

The base opacity of the active layer is adjusted at the top of the Layers palette and is measured as a percentage.

Here you can either work with the slider or enter an exact value.

As you can see, the underlying layer has partially appeared through our black object.

Fill opacity

While the underlying opacity affects the entire layer, the Fill setting does not affect styles applied to the layer.

Let's assume that we have applied a style to the object "Embossing",

and then lowered the value "Fills" to zero.

In this case, we will get an image in which only this style will remain visible, and the object itself will disappear from visibility.

Using this technique, transparent objects are created, in particular, watermarks.

Single object opacity

The opacity of one of the objects contained on the same layer is achieved by applying a layer mask.

To change the opacity, an object must be selected in any available way.

I'll take advantage "Magic wand".

Then press the key ALT and click on the mask icon in the layers panel.

As you can see, the object completely disappeared from view, and a black area appeared on the mask, repeating its shape.
Next, press the key CTRL and click on the mask thumbnail in the layers palette.

A selection appears on the canvas.

The selection must be inverted by pressing the keyboard shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+I.

Now the selection needs to be filled with any shade of gray. All black will hide the object, while all white will reveal it.

Press the key combination SHIFT+F5 and in the settings select the color.

Click OK in both windows and get the opacity in accordance with the selected shade.

The selection can (should) be removed using the keys CTRL+D.

Gradient Opacity

Gradient, that is, uneven over the entire area, opacity is also created using a mask.
This time you need to create a white mask on the active layer by clicking on the mask icon without a key ALT.

Then select a tool "Gradient".

As we already know, you can only draw from a mask in black, white and gray, so select this gradient in the settings on the top panel:

Then, while on the mask, press left button mouse and drag the gradient across the canvas.

You can pull in any desired direction. If you are not satisfied with the result the first time, then the “broaching” can be repeated an unlimited number of times. The new gradient will completely cover the old one.

That's all there is to say about opacity in Photoshop. I sincerely hope that this information will help you understand the principles of obtaining transparency and apply these techniques in your work.

Today I decided to move a little away from the topic of coding and talk a little about the design. Although design plays a significant role in creating a website, I have not been friends with drawing, graphics and design since childhood. Therefore, I look for images for my posts, like many bloggers, somewhere on the Internet, using free photo banks and photo stocks.

And so, sometimes you come across a very suitable picture for your post and everything would be fine... But the background of the picture does not match the background of the blog or block with text. Apparently no one has this problem and no one has a white background, which would be suitable in most cases. I need transparent background !

I couldn't find any good ideas on the Internet. how to make a transparent background For finished picture, so I started experimenting myself and found a more or less suitable solution!

How to make a transparent background for a picture

Let's take one example a simple picture in .jpg format (in general the format is not particularly important):

There's a white background here that I want to get rid of and make a transparent background instead. Pixlr, an online version of Photoshop, will help us with this.

Uploading our image. On the right in the “Layers” window a “Background” layer will appear, on which there is a lock (prevents the background of the picture from being deleted).

By double-clicking with the left mouse button on this lock, you can remove the lock from the background. A checkmark will appear instead of a padlock.

Now take the magic wand (toolbar, right column, second button from the top), indicate following parameters: tolerance = 21, checkboxes for smoothing and continuity(usually such parameters are standard), although you can experiment with the parameters; and click on the background of the picture (in our case, on the white background).

Now we delete the background by pressing the “Delete” button and get the image we need with a transparent background.
