To enter the so-called "My Page" in the "email" field, you need to enter your email address, select a domain from the drop-down list.

In addition to @mail.ru, the following are available, equivalent to the main domains:

• @inbox.ru
• @list.ru
• @bk.ru

The user fills in the password field. The client's personal account opens. Default user goes to the tab"Letters" to the "Inbox" folder, where all received messages are stored, which are displayed on the right half of the page. This is where they usually check for new mail. Unread letters are highlighted.

Above the list of letters are presented control buttons. At the request of the owner of the box:

• Deletes a message

The main page of the Mail.ru site will load. To get into your mail, you need to enter your login information in the rectangle in the upper left corner.

The program may have already filled in your data from a previous login. Then just click on the inscription "Mail". Immediately after that, your box will open.

3 . In the "Box name" line, type the login from your email. The login is the part of the address before the @ sign.

For example, if the mailbox address [email protected], then type ivan.petrov56 in this field. No spaces and no dot at the end.

If the postal address ends not with mail.ru, but with list.ru, or bk.ru, or inbox.ru, then click on the adjacent @mail.ru field and select the desired ending.

4 . In the "Password" line, type the code from your mailbox (it will be typed in dots). Then click on the "Login" button.

If you open your mail on someone else's computer, uncheck the "Remember" box.

How to enter the mail from the phone

On modern mobile phones and tablets, you can fully work with Mail mail. There are two ways to do this - through the browser or through the application.

Login through a browser is when you launch a program for the Internet and go to your email box in it. And the application is a separate program that is installed on the mobile. It is more convenient to work with mail through the application.

Ways to enter mail.ru mail from a smartphone or tablet

2. Click on the inscription "Mail".

Working with letters through a browser is convenient, but only if you rarely use mail. Rarely means no more than once a week. In other cases, it is better to use an email client. This is an application that helps you quickly receive and send letters.

But there is another option - the official Mail.ru application. It has more features:

• Search across all emails in a mailbox
• Grouping emails by topic
• You can add multiple mailboxes and quickly switch between them
• You can add not only Mail boxes, but also other services: Yandex, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.
• There is an address book, a personal spam filter, notes and much more.

Mail.ru mail registration

You need to register only if you do not yet have a mailbox in Mail. After all, registration is the creation of a new email with a new address. If you already have a box, you do not need to register!

one . Open a new tab, type mail.ru in the address bar and press Enter on your keyboard.

3 . Fill in each field of the questionnaire.

Name . Print your name.

Surname . Type your last name.

Date of Birth . Enter the date, month and year of your birth.

Floor . Choose gender - male or female.

Desired postal address. In this line you need to print the name for your future box. You can use both letters and numbers, as well as a period, underscore, or hyphen. But the letters must be typed in the Latin alphabet, because all addresses on the Internet are only English.

Pay attention to the end of the address. Initially, it is @mail.ru, but you can choose another one: @inbox.ru, @list.ru or @bk.ru.

Password . Here you need to type the code with which you will open your box. It must contain English letters and numbers. At least six and without spaces.

Password confirmation. In this line you need to type the same code as in the previous field.

Telephone . Here the site asks to print your mobile number. This is optional, but I highly recommend specifying it. After all, if there are problems with access to the box, the easiest way to restore it will be through the phone.

When all fields are filled in, click the "Register" button. The system will ask you to print the numbers from the picture, and then your new email box will open. You can immediately use it - send and receive letters.

Learning to use email

All actions with mail take place in the user's personal account. Through it we receive and send letters, photos and documents.

The mail.ru personal account looks like this:

Folders on the left side:

• Inbox - here are all received messages.
• Sent - this is the folder where the sent letters go (they are duplicated in it).
• Drafts - a folder where your unsent messages are saved. Through this folder, you can restore the letter after a failure.
• Spam - advertising junk is placed here.
• Trash - this is where the messages that you have deleted from the mailbox are stored.

The most important folder is the Inbox. All new messages (except spam) get into it. Messages that have not yet been opened are highlighted in bold, and those that have already been opened are highlighted in light blue.

To open a letter, you just need to click on it with the left mouse button.

How to send a letter

To write and send a letter, click on the button that says "Write a letter" in the upper left corner.

A new page will load. In the "To" line, type the email address of the person you want to write the letter to.

On a note . All addresses on the Internet consist of letters of the Latin alphabet (English). Approximately in the middle there is an @ sign, after which the mail site is written. There is no dot at the end. Example: [email protected]

In the subject line, type the subject of the letter, that is, briefly say what it is about or from whom. You can print the topic in Russian letters.

The text of the letter is printed in a large white field. If there is a lot of text, this field will automatically expand (a slider will appear on the side).

After you fill in the required fields, click the "Submit" button once and wait a few seconds. If everything is in order, a page with the inscription "Your letter has been sent" will load. A copy of the email will remain in the Sent Items folder.

How to send a file

To send a photo or document, you need to do everything the same as when sending a regular letter. Namely, fill in the "To", "Subject" field and print the text of the letter.

But just before you click the "Submit" button, you need to add a file inside. To do this, click on the inscription "Attach a file" (under the line "Subject").

A small window will appear. Find in it the photo, document or other file that you want to send, and double-click on it with the left mouse button.

The window will disappear, and the file that you added will be shown in the letter.

The site mail.ru does not open - what to do?

Check if it opens on other devices: on the phone, on another computer. If it opens, then the problem is on your side - most likely it is a virus.

If the Mail does not open anywhere, then in this case we are talking about blocking it.

I'm trying to restore access to the mail, but the error "The specified mailbox does not exist" pops up.

Such an error appears in one of two cases: either you make a mistake when entering the address (see), or the mailbox has been deleted.

By the way, according to the rules of the mail.ru site, the administration can delete the address if it has not been used for 6 months.

2. Here you will be offered several ways to enter: Yandex, Google, Yahoo!. Here you can also log in with a mailbox from Mail.Ru, and by clicking on the button "Another", you can enter the mailbox of other domains, such as work or foreign.



3. When you select a specific service @ and domain will be substituted automatically. All you have to do is enter your username and password, and then click the button "To come in".



4. As an additional protection, the service may require you to re-enter your password.



5. An authorization service (Google, Yandex, and possibly your mail service has one) will make a request to access the data. Allow it.



6. A notification will appear about entering the mailbox of another service through the Mail.Ru interface. If you wish, you can change your first and last name, and then click "Log in mail".



7. Since this is the first entry for Mail.Ru, it will offer to optimize the use of this email for its service. This consists in setting an avatar, adding a signature and choosing a background. This can be written in "More => Settings => Name and signature" and the signature will be automatically added to each letter.

You can use the original signature if you do not conduct official correspondence.
