I want to note the fact that there is a race between manufacturers of low-cost smartphone models to improve quality and functionality. Of course, for us, ordinary users, it plays into the hands. Design and appearance

The body of the smartphone is made of high-quality plastic imitating metal. The surface of the back panel has an interesting texture, thanks to which it looks extremely beautiful. The upper left corner is occupied by the main camera and the LED flash, at the bottom in the middle is the speaker.

The left side of the monolithic non-separable case was occupied by the tray for SIM-cards. In almost all devices of the company, this tray has a combined design, and allows you to install two SIM-cards or one plus a memory card.

On the right side, you can feel the traditional on / off button and volume rocker. The key travel is good, there are no complaints about them.

The 3.5 mm headphone jack is located in the center of the upper edge. On the bottom edge, closer to the right edge, there is a microUSB connector, to the left edge there is a microphone.

The full face of the smartphone adorns front-camera, speaker and navigation touch buttons without backlight. Reflective paint paints two dots along the edges and a circle in the middle.

The build quality of the ZTE Blade A610c on high level- the monolithic body does not bend, does not play and does not creak. The smartphone is sold in gold and dark blue colors.

Display: bright and natural colors

The ZTE Blade A610c has a five-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, with a 2.5D curved glass. Bright and rich colors look natural and pleasing to the eye. You can use the built-in product MIRAVISION, a technology that can improve the image quality in real time. Three modes are available: standard, vivid and custom. In the latter, you can manually adjust the image display effects to your liking.

The display sensor is responsive and can recognize up to five simultaneous presses. Works smoothly, without delays or crashes.

Performance: suitable for solving daily tasks

The ZTE Blade A610c uses the time-tested MediaTek MTK6735P quad-core chipset with a core clock speed of 1 GHz. The Mali-T720 accelerator is responsible for the graphics. Volume random access memory- 1 GB, internal - 16 GB (of which a little more than 10 GB is available to the user). You can install a microSD memory card up to 128 GB.

The listed characteristics can be called balanced. When working with the browser and watching videos, there were no problems. But games that require more serious device performance will have to be abandoned.

The sound of the external speaker is loud enough and without distortion.

Camera: take cool pictures

The main 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash has a decent set of settings that allow you to choose one of 14 shooting modes, add filters in real time, use flexible customization white balance and exposure.

Focusing is very fast, even when the subject is relatively close to the camera. HDR mode fulfills its 100%. But the image stitching in panoramic mode is lame.

The device supports 720p video recording.

The front camera cannot boast of the number of megapixels - there are only two of them. The quality of the photos can be judged by the pictures below.

Communication and communications: be always online

The ZTE Blade A610c smartphone is equipped with all the necessary wireless interfaces that we are so used to. High speed internet is available thanks to 4G LTE support. At home or at work, you can connect to the Internet with using Wi-Fi(802.11). There is support for Bluetooth 4.1

The location is determined by the built-in GPS receiver with support for the global navigation satellite system.

NFC is missing, but FM radio is present.

Operating system and interface: proprietary shell and Android

The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with a proprietary launcher from ZTE. Its main feature is the lack of a separate menu with applications. All items are displayed on the home screen (just like on iOS). The system is so flexible that it allows you to customize the look individual elements: Change the display of icons, add desktop flipping effects, blur the background image, or select a solid background.

Of the preinstalled applications, useful ones can be called AVG antivirus PRO, TouchPal keyboard and AccuWeather. There is a full package of applications from Google: Chrome browser, Gmail, Maps, YouTube, Play Music, Play Movies, Disk, Hangouts and Photos.

In the settings, you can enable gesture recognition and configure them to launch the necessary applications.

Impressive battery

The ZTE Blade A610c has a non-removable lithium ion battery at 4000 mAh. He confidently survived all our active tests - the smartphone really turned out to be a long-liver. Battery life is about the same as any other Android smartphone with a powerful battery. With dosed use of the Internet, watching videos and listening to music, you can count on several days of battery life.

For 11 hours of constantly on mobile internet and interaction with social networks I managed to spend only 40%. That is, such use allows you to forget about chargers and sockets for three days.

Let's sum up

ZTE Blade A610c is a worthy representative of the segment of inexpensive devices, the undoubted advantage of which can be considered powerful battery... It will help you forget about the need to recharge the device for a few days. Modern hardware, excellent screen with 2.5D glass, the ability to use high speed internet- and all this at an affordable price.

The mid-range smartphone makers (about $ 200) have waged a serious war to improve quality. So, for this money, you can find devices with flagship performance. At first glance, the ZTE Blade A610 cannot disappoint: metal case, the newest operating system and a capacious battery. What else is interesting about the Chinese novelty?

Specifications and performance

  • Quad-core processor MediaTek MT6735 with a clock speed of 1.3 GHz;
  • video accelerator Mali-T720;
  • operating room Android system 6.0;
  • 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory;
  • slot for microSD memory cards up to 32 GB;
  • support for two SIM;
  • GPS and GLONASS navigation;
  • light and proximity sensors, digital compass;
  • capacity battery 4000 mAh.

In the ZTE Blade A610, there is a budget, but a well-proven MediaTek MT6735 processor. Thanks to good optimization, the smartphone copes well with all everyday tasks. The device can also play such serious games as Lara Croft: Relic Run, but not on maximum settings... The capacity of the rechargeable battery, 4000 mAh, is also encouraging - such batteries are rarely found even in tablet computers.

Appearance

ZTE Blade A610 has a nice shape with curved glass. The smartphone can be purchased in gold or silver color... The body is made of a pleasant to the touch brushed metal. All connectors and physical keys are located as standard. The width of the side frames around the screen is about 4 millimeters.

ZTE Blade A610 pleases with workmanship. The smartphone feels monolithic. There are no backlashes and creaks. The large battery makes the ZTE Blade A610 quite heavy.

Screen

The ZTE Blade A610 has a five-inch display made using IPS technology. Screen resolution 1280x720 (HD). It is covered with 2.5D glass for protection. The color rendition of the display is good, the shades are natural and saturated, the picture can be adjusted in MiraVision.

There is an automatic brightness adjustment, but it does not always work correctly, every now and then dimming the screen. The display sensor is sensitive and easily recognizes five simultaneous touches.

Cameras

The camera on the ZTE Blade A610 is not bad. The 13-megapixel main camera is equipped with auto focus and flash. The camera focuses on the desired subject quickly. At poor lighting automation often makes mistakes. However, the photo quality corresponds to the price category of the smartphone. The pictures come out decent, but not impressive.

Front camera resolution - 5 megapixels. The camera allows you to chat on Skype and take decent selfies.

Outcomes

Excellent device with clear screen and a capacious battery. This device can be called perfectly balanced, it has no critical flaws, but there is nothing outstanding, except for a capacious battery. The ZTE Blade A610 is a solid midrange, and the price is appropriate. You can buy the ZTE Blade A610 for $ 180.

With a capacious battery, they occupy a considerable part of the market. And this is not surprising: most users do not have a huge budget that can be spent on a modern flagship: many want a cheaper device, with a capacious battery and good hardware. Well, ZTE Blade A610 just can be attributed to such gadgets.

Appearance

Externally, the smartphone resembles the iPhone 5s, this is facilitated by a flat rectangular frame with rounded corners. With all this, there is an application for framelessness: if you look at the device in the off state, it seems that there are no frames on the sides. But if you turn on or unlock the gadget, you can be unpleasantly surprised. To be fair: the frames are not as big as they were in the first "trompe l'oeil" a couple of years ago. It is also pleasing that under the display there are touch buttons for home, back and menu entry.

Now about the back: above and below we see plastic overlays. And at the top there is a slot for the camera and flash, and at the bottom there are rows of holes for the speaker. In the center, we see a metallized back with the company logo. Well, a few words about the display. It is made using IPES-Elsidi technology and has a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. As for the diagonal, we have a five-inch drive. By the way, the thickness is only 8.2 millimeters, but it is worth remembering about the capacious battery. In general, the ergonomic shape evokes only positive emotions. ZTE blade a610 looks good, and it is available in classic gold, gray and silver colors.

Specifications

Speaking of performance, first of all, it is worth starting from the capabilities of the processor. Here we see a simple media library MT6735. This processor can be considered the benchmark of the budget segment of the outgoing sixteenth year. Well, if you take into account 2 gigabytes of RAM, the performance is really optimal for this market segment. True, a version with one gigabyte is also available to buyers.

If we consider competitors, the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) is more interesting in terms of amoled display and a slightly higher processor frequency. Another interesting competitor is the famous Xiaomi Redmi 3s phone, which is also attractive in the eyes of buyers. But again, strong point ZTE Blade A610 - its price and fresh design. And if you consider that the 4000 mAh battery works with a low-cost platform, the device boasts a very good autonomy. In addition, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0 and, unlike most old state employees, supports OTG.

ZTE officially entered the Ukrainian smartphone market at the end of 2016, and did not release a couple of devices for probing the soil, but immediately rolled out in different price segments. Previously, the site got acquainted with, and now it got to another inexpensive device, which pleased with its excellent autonomy.

Specifications

  • screen: IPS, 5 inches, resolution 1280 × 720 pixels, 2.5D glass
  • platform: 4-core MediaTek MT6735
  • RAM: 2 GB, ROM: 16 GB (+ microSD)
  • main camera: 13 MP, front camera: 5 MP
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB, GPS, GLONASS
  • battery: 4000 mAh
  • accelerometer, light sensor, proximity sensor
  • dimensions: 145x71x8.65 mm, weight: 140 g
  • OS: Android 6.0

Appearance, assembly and convenience

ZTE Blade A610 looks simple in the face: 2.5D glass covers the display, but its bend completely covers the plastic bezel, which creates only visual overflows, but the effect is not felt by hand, under the screen itself there are touch control keys designed as two dots and circle. The latter is responsible for the functions "Home", and the side ones are "Back" and "Menu", and their position can be swapped. It's good that the buttons look identical, because when they are inverted, the harmony does not break down due to incorrect graphic symbols.

The device also received a metal back, a slippery plastic frame around the entire perimeter and embossed plastic plugs at the bottom and top edges of the case at the back. The latter in our sample do not fit tightly to the body, which in practice does not interfere in any way, but frustrates by the very fact of the existing flaw. It is possible that other copies are devoid of such a drawback, but when buying, you should pay attention to this. The rest of the device is monolithic as much as it is possible in principle.

Initially it appears that the plastic frame will slide in the palm of your hand, but in everyday use the device never tried to slip out of hands. This is also facilitated by the rough aluminum back, which fits snugly to the palm due to an ergonomic bend closer to the ends.

A tight grip does not allow you to comfortably reach all corners of the display, and also makes it difficult to control the volume without intercepting the device, because with optimal hold, the thumb fits clearly on the lock, and the volume switch is noticeably higher, and besides, it is very long - the "plus" is almost at the top edge.

It's good that you don't have to change the volume often, because this is essentially the only complaint about ergonomics. But with the display, the situation is not so straightforward.

Screen

The ZTE Blade A610 offers a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, which is a typical configuration for this price segment... The screen, at first glance, pleases: the picture is quite saturated, the viewing angles are wide, the margin of brightness is not bad.

A more detailed examination showed that the screen is not capable of displaying a saturated red color, it makes it much paler than it actually is. The backlight also upset when you look at objects with a white background - a dark halo is slightly noticeable along the perimeter of the screen, and the lower edge of the matrix is poorly glued, which is why you can see the gaps through which the LED beams break through.

If nothing can be done with red, then the problem with uneven backlighting is solved by a dark background of programs and dark wallpaper. And on the whole, the drawback is noticeable upon closer examination, this feature practically does not affect the real experience of use. In addition, the rest of the parameters are encouraging that, by a combination of factors, it makes the smartphone screen better than that of most competitors. Where ZTE is seriously losing out is in the stuffing issue.

Performance

The ZTE Blade A610 is powered by an entry-level MediaTek MT6735 processor and 2GB of RAM. Synthetic measurements indicate that the smartphone has nothing to brag about:

Indeed, 3D games are difficult for the device, and network mode in Modern Combat 5, it is generally contraindicated, since players with more productive solutions are by far the faster able to aim and shoot (the serious frame sagging in scenes saturated with special effects is largely to blame). The minimum graphics settings in Asphalt 8 allow for more or less tolerable driving, but the performance is still not comfortable.

Casual games work much better, especially all kinds of solitaire games and Japanese crosswords, but juicy games about Om Nom also do not cause any particular problems. Performance in third-party software is good, even fast scrolling of long lists runs without significant twitching. The shell and native settings work almost perfectly.

The amount of RAM allowed the device not to cause any complaints about multitasking - a typical set of 5-6 applications (messengers, text editor, browser, mail, translator, Twitter) remains in memory, the recovery of programs in the midst of work did not happen during testing. In total, for games, you definitely need to buy another smartphone, but the budget ZTE copes well with everyday tasks.

Autonomy

ZTE Blade A610 is equipped with a 4000 mAh battery, which, together with a low-performance filling and a relatively small display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels, gives an excellent result in terms of battery life. Testing included 30 minutes of YouTube video playback, about 30 minutes of casual games, and a few mailboxes, active use of two social networks, three instant messengers and a browser. The result pleased:

Exactly two days (48 hours 01 minutes) with 6.5 hours of active display!

The device works for a very long time, for a day of normal use it will be possible to set it "to zero" only if you set yourself a similar task. Normal mode will provide 2-3 days of work from a single charge, which does not just relate budget smartphone to the number of centenarians, but also makes it one of the best devices basically.

The background consumption can hardly be called extraordinary: in 7 hours at night the device loses on average 5-7%, and in the daytime, when the number of notifications grows significantly, this figure increases only to 10-12% over the same period of time.

The weakest point was the charge speed - in 30 minutes the device received 15%, in 1 hour up to 32%, in two hours the charge grew to 55%, in three and a half - up to 87%, and the energy was fully restored in only 4 hours 21 minutes ...

Camera, sound and communications

ZTE Blade A610 received a 13-megapixel main camera, the quality of photos from which is mediocre. Even in the bright sun, colors are almost always transmitted with distortion, but on the whole the result is acceptable: processing algorithms do not destroy the texture, and excessively cold tones partially compensate for the incorrect transmission of light.

The sound quality through an external speaker installed on the back is average: there is practically no bass, and at maximum volume high frequencies distorted, resulting in a squeak-like effect, while remaining completely intelligible. Watching the video will be enough, especially given the high maximum volume, but listening to songs through the speaker is not worth it. But this can be done through headphones: the sound is loud and moderately clear, but flat, which in the aggregate is perceived adequately for the money.

The radio modules work stably, no extraordinary achievements or failures have been identified during testing. It can only be noted that the extremely good voice transmission, which will be important if you are still calling on your smartphone.

Competitors

It attracts with higher performance, which is felt in the work of the same browser, the camera also looks a little more cheerful. But the screen at ZTE is better, autonomy is noticeably higher. The main disadvantage of Meizu m3s is the warranty, as a rule, from the store, and not the manufacturer directly (because Meizu, in principle, did not enter the Ukrainian market), which in case of problems will greatly complicate the process warranty repair... The main advantage of Meizu m3s is its lower cost - only 3299 UAH.

With 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM, it also looks like a good option to buy, which includes the savings, as well as slightly faster performance when relying on games. Autonomy is one of the best, but still slightly less than that of ZTE. The main problem of this competitor, as in the case of the Meizu m3s, is its dubious origin in the local market. The cost of the device in retail chains is 3600-4000 UAH.

An interesting alternative is also offered, which offers a little better display, fingerprint scanner, many additional functions and even a front flash. But the smartphone works much less, and third-party software and the shell periodically lose frames, which in some cases is annoying. And the price for a more advanced device is higher - 4299 UAH.

conclusions

ZTE Blade A610 turned out to be extremely interesting device: neat, albeit with a flaw in the assembly, multitasking, albeit unhurried, with a decent display and high-quality sound in the headphones. This set already shows a smartphone with a price of 3999 UAH competitive, but all these advantages pale when it comes to autonomy.

A device that works for two days in the hands regular user while not requiring harsh memory management and without sophistication in the spirit of turning on radio modules only at the moment of need, now it is very difficult to find. Moreover, for the money that the manufacturer asks for.

The performance of the ZTE Blade A610 is not enough for advanced 3D games, but other applications work well, and the smartphone itself does not heat up at all, even while charging. All together indicate that this gadget can be safely recommended as a device for every day, the user will definitely be satisfied.

2 reasons to buy ZTE Blade A610:

  • titanic autonomy
  • convenient shape and size for one-handed use

2 reasons not to buy the ZTE Blade A610:

  • weak filling for the price
  • assembly (possibly a defect in the specific sample being tested)

The company's mobile solutions are frequent guests of our laboratory, since we try to consider not only flagship models, but also mid-budget devices. Most of the studied smartphones of this brand are remembered for their high-quality performance and an interesting combination of characteristics at an adequate cost.
