Meizu pro 5 what usb

Less than a year later, Meizu hastened to release a new, truly grown-up flagship without any compromises - Pro 5. What you need to know about the new product? Case suspiciously reminiscent of iPhone 6, 2.5D glass, processor like Samsung Galaxy S6 and updated audio components for even more quality sound... The rest of the details are below.

We have already said more than once that times have changed now and the iPhone 6 has already been copied by all and sundry. Only Meizu was somehow late, but that's okay - the same body in the iPhone 6S will be relevant for another year, so many companies still have a chance. The most interesting thing is that users do not care about all this, in fact, like Apple itself. No offense to you, going to court and other attacks. But back to our new product.

The body of our device is made entirely of metal. On this account, there are even special photographs of how this important component of the smartphone is produced. Look at them and get aesthetic pleasure.

Alleluia! Pro 5 lowered the display resolution to 1920 x 1080 pixels and increased the diagonal to 5.7 inches.

The density of dots, of course, has decreased and amounts to 387 ppi, instead of 546 ppi in its predecessor. Personally, I can only welcome this step, since installing a Quad HD screen in practice does not bring any special user experience - well, you will not see these tiny pixels in normal, normal use (30-40 from screen to eye). Nobody needs it! But now power consumption and system resources are spent more efficiently. Of course, I haven't held the device in my hands yet, but in theory this is always the case.

But the use of Super AMOLED-matrix in the "five" is a wake-up call.

Crumpled colors, wild contrast and greens when the screen is tilted in any direction - all this, most likely, awaits the owners of the new flagship. I would like to be wrong, but I have not yet met a high-quality AMOLED screen in comparison with IPS from anyone except the most fresh Samsung products.

  • contrast ratio 10000: 1
  • protective glass Corning Gorilla Glass 3
  • 2.5D - glass panel (curved at the edges)

As before, a fingerprint scanner is integrated into the button on the front. There is already the next, more advanced generation of the sensor called mTouch 2.1. Let's talk about what has improved compared to the sensor in. The scanning resolution (something like that) has increased by 81%, the fingerprint reading speed is now 0.48 seconds, and now you can attach the owner's fingerprint protection to separate applications and folders. Protection, so to speak, from curious friends whom you do not feed with bread, but let me find in the memory of the device photos of your girlfriend (well, or friend) in negligee.

In general, all this is empty. Specifications Meizu Pro 5 best of all to compare visually, with it. All improvements are marked in green.

Date of announcement

I think you already realized that there will be two versions of the smartphone available in total: standard and advanced. In the first case, the user gets 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, and in the second - 4 and 64 GB, respectively. It is worth noting that all the components here are made by Samsung, from the processor to the memory: UFS 2.0 is the very latest type of built-in storage, and LPDDR4 modules are preinstalled as RAM. Thus, the device comes close to the performance of the Samsung Galaxy S6. Until now, no one has overtaken the latter in synthetic tests, so the Pro 5 has every chance to do it. We expect "over 65000" virtual parrots in AnTuTu.

Declared support for two SIM-cards form factor Nano SIM (instead of one of the cards you can install Micro card SD). Previously, it was possible to install only one Micro SIM card and be content with only the memory that was available in your package. Now you can do this and that.

Equipping the Meizu flagships with advanced audio components continues. Now a separate audio chip ESS ES9018K2M (dynamic range 123 dB) is used as the internals, as well as an OPA 1612 amplifier and ceramic film capacitors. Again, we have a smartphone with serious ambitions in the field of high-quality sound. Moreover, it comes and about the external speaker, on which a special NXP TFA9890 chip is responsible for sound output. Application, gentlemen!

In the official press release it is stated that the user only needs to get high-quality headphones and go into the realm of awesome sound. I was alarmed only by the fact that the bundle lacks any standard headset. This is confirmed by the photo below.

In general, company representatives are clearly hinting at their third-party headphones - EP-31.

At the expense of time autonomous work the following is known. Despite the decreased capacity of the battery from 3350 to 3050 mAh, the smartphone promises to live without recharging for about the same time as its predecessor. Responsible for this is a system based on a Samsung Exynos 7420 chip (the processor is created using 14-nm technology). There is also a fast charging technology mCharge: 65% in half an hour.

The built-in shell of Flyme 5.0 has also been updated. All the beauties, of course, have been improved and retouched with an eye on usability. However, recording calls and obtaining ROOT rights - all this remained according to the good old tradition.

It's great that not only new flagship will acquire latest version shells, but in general all the latest smartphones of the company should be updated to the latest software version.

The first in line was, of course, MX5, for which the update will arrive on September 25, that is, this Friday.

Well, now let's move on to the fun part - let's talk about the price. Towards the end of November this year, the device will arrive in official channels sales in Russia. There is no exact information about the price right now, but you shouldn't wait the price tag is less than 35,000 rubles(by the most conservative estimates). We have something to start from: in China, the smartphone will be sold at a price of 2799 Chinese yuan for a modification with 32 GB of internal memory, which in domestic currency corresponds to 29,000 rubles. The stuffed model will be delivered at a price of 3099 yuan, which in terms of rubles is no less than 32,000 rubles.

The pre-order for the device is open on the official website of the company until October 12. However, you will not be able to buy anything there if you are not Chinese.

Four colors will be available for sale: gray or silver, dark gray (graphite), light gray and gold. No pink for you. My personal thanks to the company for this.

Price: from 29,000 rubles (they have)

In the fall of 2015, Meizu released its most expensive and technologically advanced smartphone - Meizu Pro 5. Fingerprint sensor, NFC support, USB Type-C connector, high-speed UFS 2.0 memory - this is just a part of the technical "bells and whistles" of the device.

According to expectations, the model should have received the name "Meizu MX5 Pro", since it is the Pro version of the MX5 smartphone and a logical continuation of the entire line as a whole. At the time of this writing, the minimum price of the device in stores is 525 and 690 USD, respectively, depending on the version.

The technical capabilities of this smartphone are able to satisfy the needs of even the most demanding users.

Appearance

The design of the smartphone has many similar elements to the appearance of the iPhone 6 Plus. The body is matt, made of metal, the front part is covered protective glass with rounded corners (2.5D technology). The camera eye protrudes slightly from the case, however, you shouldn't worry about it: the optics are reliably protected from scratches by a sapphire crystal. Due to the rather large (5.7 inches) display, the case is relatively long: 156.7 mm. The width was 78 mm, the thickness was 7.5 mm, and the weight was 168 g.

CPU

As a processor, a development from Samsung is used: an eight-core, 64-bit Exynos 7 Octa 7420 chipset. The video chip is an eight-core Mali-T760 MP8 (772 MHz). Thanks to this hardware, the performance of Meizu Pro 5 is more than enough. On this moment there are hardly any tasks performed on the Android platform that could fully realize the potential of a device with such characteristics. Even the most resource-demanding games run without problems and run smoothly with maximum settings graphics.

Memory

On sale you can find 2 versions of the smartphone: with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of ROM, as well as with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of main memory. It is noteworthy that the main flash memory is made using UFS 2.0 technology. This makes I / O speeds 2.7 times faster than conventional flash memory used in most modern smartphones... As a result, devices with this type of memory are better at multitasking and can play UHD videos without any lag. The memory card slot can work with microSD flash drives with a capacity of up to 128 GB.

Autonomous work

The battery is not very capacious: 3150 mAh. Nevertheless, this capacity is enough for the smartphone to work without recharging, a day is reconciled in the following mode: WiFi is on for 5 hours, half an hour of phone calls, camera use (a couple of dozen pictures), 60 minutes of listening to music, access to 3G and 4G networks for for 10 hours to synchronize mail, instant messengers, etc.

If you use your smartphone less intensively, you can expect to work without recharging for two days. Time of continuous telephone conversation may be 13 hours. If you play resource-intensive 3D games, the battery will run out in 4.5 hours.

The smartphone can be charged up to 65% in half an hour, thanks to Charge 2.0 technology. The TI BQ27532 chip, which "monitors" the battery and the voltage level, is responsible for the safety of fast charging, as well as preventing premature battery wear.

The main camera received Sony sensor IMX230 at 21.16 MP. Module specifications: 6-lens optics, f / 2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus, dual flash with different shades. Quite a lot of parameters can be built into the camera interface, including those available manual settings exposure compensation, ISO, shutter speed, saturation and contrast.

The camera focuses very quickly and fairly accurately. An effective noise reduction system is used when shooting. Macro photography is great, lovers of small subjects will love it. During the day, in good light, you can get pretty decent pictures. When looking at photographs of distant objects, you may notice a slight loss of detail.

Photos taken during night shooting are inferior in quality to images taken with Huawei smartphones Honor 7 and LG G4. Nevertheless, in skillful hands, you can get quite a decent result.

Videos can be recorded in 4K resolution. It is also possible to make slow motion (120 FPS). The 5 MP front camera does not stand out with anything special, and will do only for video communication.

Display

Meizu sticks to its style: despite the fact that the Pro 5 is equipped with a rather big 5.7-inch SuperAMOLED display, it received a resolution of 1920x1280. Nevertheless, FullHD resolution with a pixel density of 387 ppi is quite enough for the image to be of high quality. The advantages of the display include excellent image display, including brightness, contrast, saturation and viewing angles. The display also boasts an oleophobic coating and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Network communications

On the side there is a slot in which you can simultaneously place either two nano-SIM, or one microSD flash drive and one SIM card. Such a decision cannot be justified by the economy of space and the small thickness of the case, especially considering the 5.7 ”display diagonal and the immodest dimensions of the device. This is more like an artificial limitation.

The smartphone supports 3G and 4G networks. NFC and GPS modules... The smartphone uses a USB Type-C connector, with USB-OTG support (for connecting external devices), and MHL (for connecting a smartphone to monitors and TVs).

Sound

Responsible for high-quality sound is the ESS ES9018K2M chip, which is paired with the TI OPA1612 amplifier. Thanks to this, the sound of the main speaker is much louder than any other smartphone from Meizu. Moreover, it is clean, free of interference and noise. Various formats can be played without loss of quality. You can only experience the full potential of a single sound chip if you use high-quality headphones.

Software part

Initially, Meizu Pro 5 runs on Android 5.1. On top of the OS is the Flyme 4.5.4I shell (with the ability to upgrade to version 5), which seriously changes the appearance of the system and complements it with its functions.

Additionally

At the bottom of the display is the mTouch 2.0 fingerprint scanner built into the button. The scanner reads the fingerprint quite quickly, the percentage of unsuccessful attempts tends to zero. If you click the button, the desktop will open. Thanks to the mBack function, you can go back to “Back” while in a menu or in an application with just a touch of a button. When you press the button for a long time, the smartphone will go into "sleep mode".

Pros and cons of Meizu Pro 5

pros

  • thanks to the powerful hardware, the performance reserve will last for a long time;
  • good camera that allows you to take high-quality pictures and record videos in 4K resolution;
  • loud and high-quality sound of the main speaker;
  • USB Type-C connector with MHL and OTG support.

Minuses

  • there is not enough in the cell optical stabilization when filming;
  • the combined slot does not allow using a USB flash drive and 2 SIM cards at the same time.

Our review of the smartphone Meizu Pro 5

The manufacturer managed to make Meizu Pro 5 truly impressive: excellent characteristics, wide functionality, high-quality performance at the level of more famous brands. True, the device is not cheap, but it's worth it. It is recommended to take a closer look at the 3/32 GB version: the memory will be enough for most users, and it is more affordable in price. In addition, judging by the review, the rest of the functionality is no different from the 4/64 GB version.

Displays

Both smartphones are equipped with interesting screens, in Meizu Pro 5 the diagonal is phablet 5.7 ″ inches, and in Pro 6 - more compact 5.2 ″ inches... Both the first and the second smartphone have the same resolution - 1920 × 1080 pixels, but the Pro 6, due to the smaller diagonal, has a higher density of dots per inch. Also, the display of Meizu Pro 6 reacts to pressing force (3D Press), this is for now new technology and works only with native Flyme OS applications, but there is a margin for the technological part for the future.

Filling

Meizu Pro 5 runs on powerful processor made by Samsung, model Exynos 7420 The chip is built on a 16 nm process technology and operates at a clock speed of 2.1 GHz. The 2016 flagship runs on a mobile SoC that MediaTek has specifically released for Meizu - Helio X25... Although it is made according to the 20 nm technological process, it has good ones today. This processor has 10 cores and runs at a clock speed of 2.5 GHz. In the benchmark, it scores 96.169 points.

In terms of RAM, the Meizu Pro 5 offers a choice of 3GB or 4GB of RAM, while the receiver only offers one 4GB model. At the same time, the flagship of 2015 is equipped with more fast LPDDR4 memory chips, and Pro 6 - LPDDR3, how this will affect the operation of the flagship, we will find out after real tests.

If we compare the flash drives in the Meizu Pro 6 and Pro 5, it is the 2016 model that wins, since it is equipped with the faster eMMC 5.1 flash memory. Both devices are presented in two models: with 32 GB and 64 GB of RAM on board.

Autonomy

Meizu Pro 5 has a battery with a capacity 3050 mAh, and in Meizu Pro 6 the battery capacity is only 2560 mAh... If we compare the autonomy of the flagships, it will not be easy to calculate the obvious leader, since the Pro 5, although it has more powerful battery but also comes with a more demanding processor and display.

Super AMOLED display Meizu Pro 6 5.2 ″ inches will be more economical to use up the charge, but to find out who will last longer - you need to wait for live tests. Both smartphones are equipped with USB Type-C and fast charging.

Chips

Meizu Pro 5

Meizu Pro 6, in comparison with Pro 5, received more various chips, such as the 360 ° fingerprint scanner mTouch 2.1, the newest OS Flyme 5.2 based on Andorid 6.0 Marshmallow, as well as an attractive design with a unique arrangement of external antennas.

The Pro line phones have the same main cameras: 21MP Sony IMX230 with F2.2, but the 2016 flagship received a special fast laser autofocus and a 10-LED ring flash, which, according to Meizu, will have a very positive effect on photographs taken in the dark. Meizu Pro 6 is thinner than Pro 5: 7.25 mm versus 7.5 mm, respectively.

Prices

Meizu Pro 6

The flagship Meizu Pro 6 is more pleased with the price than its predecessor. Despite the fact that Meizu Pro 5 is almost half a year now, basic version smartphone with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash costs 439 dollars in China, a similar model Meizu Pro 6 with 32 GB of flash (but with 4 GB of RAM) costs less - 392 dollars.

At the price of the youngest Pro version 5, you can buy a top-end modification of the Meizu Pro 6 with 64 GB. Today, if we compare the prices of Pro 6 and Meizu Pro 5, the situation is the following, however, with the launch of the flagship in 2016, the price of last year's flagship will fall rapidly.

conclusions

Both smartphones are powerful and have flagship designs. Everyone has strong and weak sides: for example, Pro 6 has a new Flyme OS 5.2, while Pro 5 runs on an old Flyme 4.5 and the manufacturer is in no hurry to update it. But in the 2015 smartphone from Meizu - bigger display and a battery, which can also be the reason for choosing the Pro 5. Today, the new Meizu Pro 6 costs less than its predecessor. Which flagship is better: Meizu Pro 6 or Meizu Pro 5 - let our readers decide by voting.

The release of the new device Meizu Pro 5 practically turned the world upside down, as this device has new functions and capabilities. By the way, it can also be noted that this manufacturer is preparing a new line of smartphones. In this article, we decided to talk about the Meizu Pro 5. Review this device will be presented in full detail. If you are not familiar with this gadget, then we can recommend that you read this material until the very end.

Heritage

Some critics argue that the design of the new device borrowed from its predecessor, the material and colors of the case are also not surprising. By and large, this is true. By the way, the most interesting thing is that in the CIS countries a new mobile phone was presented under the brand name MX5 Pro, but in fact it is practically the same MX4 Pro. Although the developers are in no hurry to argue with this. Meizu Pro 5 32gb is currently very popular among Russians. However, few people know about all its benefits. What are the key advantages of the Meizu Pro 5? The review will allow you to find out.

release date

As we already wrote, the new version of the smartphone is absolutely no different from the previous software. external characteristics, but if you pay attention to the filling, then you can easily see the evolution of Meizu Pro 5. The release date of the device in Russia is November 2015.

Supply

Let's now take a look at what is offered to us in the kit along with the Meizu Pro 5. An overview of the delivery will be given below. You get, of course, the smartphone itself. It is housed in a large black box with a nice finish. Along with the smartphone, you also receive a power supply, a sync cable, operating instructions for the device and a clip for removing the SIM card. Unfortunately, we did not find any additional accessories for this device.

Ergonomics

Let's talk about the convenience of Meizu Pro 5. Ergonomics characteristics can be called close to perfect. If you had to use or hold an MX4 mobile device, then you probably managed to remember that the assembly there was not very high-quality, even the plastic inserts in the upper and lower parts were glued unevenly, which led to great indignation of many users. Now it's worth talking about the differences between these two devices, and the main one is that in new version there is a protective screen 3, and the developer's logo is now a little closer to the camera. The assembly has improved, defects have been eliminated. Of course, this cannot be attributed to big changes, but nevertheless they are present here. One gets the impression that the developers of the mobile device were in too much of a hurry to release it to the market, as a result of which they did not have time to develop new design for this gadget. It can be noted that the dimensions of this device, despite the 5.7-inch screen, are very convenient for using all the capabilities of this smartphone. All navigation control buttons are located in accessible places, and the use of this gadget will not cause any discomfort.

Display

Now let's try to evaluate the image quality in Meizu Pro 5. We will give an overview of the screen below. This device has a 5.7-inch display with FullHD capabilities. Its predecessor had a smaller screen. There it was 5.5-inch, FullHD resolution was not implemented. Consequently, the screen has become a significant advantage in the new model. In addition to the advantages, we also managed to find some disadvantages. In the above mobile device there are no special screen settings that are capable of narrowing, so it is a little oversaturated. Also, the disadvantage can be attributed to the fact that with touch screen gloves will not work. In winter, this moment can make it difficult to use the phone.

So, let's summarize. Before us is a smartphone running an operating room Android systems 5.1. The device is made in a classic metal and plastic case. There are two slots for nanoSIM cards. The working hours of the rooms are alternating. The device weighs 168 grams and measures 78x156.7x7.5 mm. The screen is created using AMOLED technology, supports 16.78 million colors. Display diagonal - 5.7 inches, resolution - 1920x1080 pixels. Supports multi-touch function. Available automatic change screen orientation. Scratch resistant glass. The 21.16 megapixel camera is complemented by an LED flash and autofocus. Aperture - F / 2.2. Video recording is carried out with a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels. Front camera with 5 megapixels. MP3 function supported. Headset and headphone jack - 3.5 mm. Communication standards of the second, third and fourth generation... The following interfaces are present: NFC, USB, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Available satellite navigation: BeiDou, GLONASS and GPS. The device uses a processor from Samsung based on eight cores. The system is complemented by a graphics module Mali-T760 MP8. The amount of permanent memory is 32 GB. RAM - 3 GB. The memory card slot is combined with the second SIM. The maximum amount of removable media is 128 GB. The battery is non-removable, its capacity is 3050 mAh.

Recently, Chinese flagships have taken a stable position on the market. Every year, a large number of new models are released, and in terms of characteristics, they are in no way inferior to more expensive counterparts. That is why they are in demand among buyers. One of the novelties that blew up the telecommunications market was another development by Meizu. Smartphone Pro 5 has collected all the most powerful hardware. Let's conduct a review for Meizu Pro 5 to study in more detail all the features of the Chinese flagship.

Design

The Meizu Pro 5 smartphone came out after the MX5 model and is very similar to it in its design. Coincidence or idea? We can only guess. But holding new model in the hands, one gets the impression that this is just an enlarged copy of the MX. However, upon closer examination, Pro can be attributed more to "apple" gadgets with an admixture appearance Samsung. And if you are guided by tactile sensations, then the effect of the iPhone 6 Plus is created. Another coincidence? It's all about the thin and sleek design of the Meizu Pro 5.

The developers did their best and made a really nice flagship. All corners are rounded, there are practically no edges. And what is interesting is that the power button is located in the same place as that of the “apple” competitor. And the sound of the touch is one to one. This is a good move, because there are bound to be users who will become smartphone buyers just because the model is similar to Apple.

True, with the dimensions of the gadget, the creators still overdid it a little. The length of 157 cm is still somehow quoted, but all the other parameters (156.7x78x7.55 mm) cause some discomfort to use.

The front panel, like most Chinese flagships, is covered with Gorilla Glass. It is pretty good and copes with its function. But despite the oleophobic coating, fingerprints still remain, although they are quickly wiped off. The first plus is a pleasant-to-touch display, on which you can easily slide your finger.

Glass goes into edges without sharp breaks. This effect is called 5D and is very popular lately. Thanks to the fine sanding, the edging shimmers in the light and adds shine. The metal used for the back is aluminum. Therefore, stains and streaks easily remain on the back panel. In addition, as mentioned above, the device has a smooth surface, so it can accidentally slip out of your pocket or hand. So it is recommended to wear Meizu 5 Pro in a case.

Another feature of the case is that the upper and lower inserts of the smartphone are not made of aluminum, but of ordinary plastic. But the most interesting thing is that it is problematic to distinguish them from a metal panel with the naked eye. The assembled device is quite high quality - no unnecessary sounds when using. Back cover perfectly flat without bending from the battery.

Under the display of the Meizu 5 Pro, in the usual manner, there is a button with a fingerprint scanner in a stainless steel frame. Its performance is excellent. The rest of the design is almost identical to the iPhone. For example, the SIM tray slides out from the side. On the bottom of the device there is a charging connector and a speaker. The only difference is the headphone jack is on the top side. Therefore, it is quite possible to assume that such coincidences are not for nothing, but deliberate copying of the appearance.

Display Meizu Pro 5 has a diagonal of 5.7 inches. There is an anti-reflective coating, thanks to which it is much more convenient to use the device in the sun. The screen resolution is FullHD, so the picture is in perfect order. It should be noted that the display is based on a matrix manufactured by Samsung. Externally, the screen looks very large due to the narrow side frames.

The brightness control can be safely entrusted to the automatic light sensor. It works stably. As expected, there is another sensor on the front panel that detects the approach to the head during a call and blocks the device.

As an advantage, the Meizu screen can be attributed to an excellent viewing angle. In case of deviations, almost all colors are preserved. There is only a small problem with white - it takes on a pink and sometimes blue-green hue. But this is almost imperceptible. The most interesting thing is that no changes occur with black at all. This suggests that the display has a high contrast ratio.

In general, the picture is not bad, but if you find fault, then it should be said that the colors on the screen are too unnatural and oversaturated. But this is only when compared with the "elite" models of smartphones, such. like Apple. As for the brightness, then at least automatic setting and works, but the display itself does not really pull out sunny weather. Therefore, on a bright summer day, the brightness for using the gadget on the street may simply not be enough. As a support, anti-glare properties can be noted, which, in which case, will slightly correct the situation. Another drawback is flickering, which is unpleasant for the eyes during the low brightness mode. Because of this, people with sensitive vision will tire of the screen.

Sound

Most users are firmly convinced that there is a smartphone "originally" from China, then there can be no question of any quality of sound and speech. Meizu Pro 5 completely destroys all prejudices. It can compete with more expensive and well-known models. The dynamic range of the amplifier is 123 dB. When developing this flagship, modern filters and ceramic film capacitors were used. All these characteristics make Meiza a true "musical" flagship.

The device has one, but rather powerful speaker. Even at maximum volume, the entire sound spectrum remains clear. Headphones work even better. The sound in the headset is rich and dense, while the volume does not suffer. As a bonus, the smartphone offers to use a proprietary player. An equalizer is available in the settings, with which you can experiment and achieve more better sound... Also the equalizer has already standard settings for several of the most popular headset models. In general, the music lover has a place to roam.

The sound during the conversation is not inferior to other gadgets. Everything is stable and clean. The noise cancellation system works fine. The only negative is there is no FM support. Everything else is completely flawless.

Cameras

Judging by the declared technical specifications, the new model should have a good main camera of 21.2 megapixels, but this happens to the detriment of the front one - only 5 MP.

If you look in more detail, then the quality of the photos on front camera you can not call it absolutely terrible. Everything is pretty decent. True, the lack of autofocus is a little upsetting, but in general, good selfies are obtained without it. Detail and sharpness cope with their tasks and make the picture clear, and the color reproduction reproduces natural shades. The side volume key will help you to quickly take a frame, which is quite convenient for frontal shooting. And by the way, this is another "trick" that migrated from the iPhone.

As for the main camera, nothing special can be distinguished here. Photos come out good. Here are a summary of the shooting characteristics:

  • High sharpness of the image;
  • In low light, photos do not come out blurry;
  • Despite the high sharpness in the center of the picture, it starts to blur on the sides;
  • Macro shots come out well enough;
  • The text on the photo remains readable, but slightly "soapy".

Talking about general impression about shooting, then, without lying, we can say that the quality of photos is far from ideal and cannot be compared with other, more expensive brands. Although, at first glance, “masterpieces” should be obtained with so many megapixels. There are no complaints about the program itself - an intuitive interface, a stable sensor. But there are questions about optics. Sometimes the sharpness can "move out" for unknown reasons. Although Meizu's smartphone has gained great popularity, it does not pull the title of "camera".

Memory and memory card

On sale, depending on the price category, you can find two variants of models from memory. The first option will have 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of main memory. The second option is more powerful - RAM 4 GB, and 64 GB is allocated for storing information. Whether it is worth overpaying for 1 extra GB of RAM is up to everyone to decide. The main storage, if necessary, can be expanded using a memory card up to 128 GB. The phone copes with multitasking in both versions, and the video of the largest format is played without glitches.

Connection

As for the characteristics of the connection, there is nothing special to say here. The smartphone supports all standard LTE stations, so there will be no problems with receiving and transmitting data.

For SIM, the flagship has two slots for Nano. They are located on the side panel, and are removed with a special paper clip. It should be noted that the memory card is located in the same place.

Battery life and performance

Chinese flagships are famous for having a relatively low price tag, but at the same time equipped with powerful hardware. Pro also did not disappoint its users. It has a main eight-core chipset, 4 out of 8 cores operate at 1.5 GHz, and the other half at 2.1 GHz. These are pretty good numbers. The video accelerator also runs on an eight-core chipset. With such characteristics, the smartphone demonstrates excellent performance and speed of action. If we take the most advanced games as an example, they will work properly on the gadget even at maximum settings.

The volume of the battery is no less pleasing. Competitors have never been able to match China in battery capacity. Meizu 5 Pro has a 3150 mAh battery at its disposal. Compared to the same "apple" device, this is a lot. If we focus on the time of work, then this is approximately:

  • With always on Wi-Fi data transmission - 5 hours;
  • Half an hour of conversation on the telephone line;
  • An hour of music playback at maximum volume;
  • Periodic operation of the camera (about twenty photos taken);
  • Continuous operation of networks;
  • Constant data synchronization.

If you do not work with the phone at full capacity and turn off unnecessary options, then the work of the smartphone will increase up to 13 hours. And if you continuously play a "heavy" game, the battery will last for 4.5 hours. It is worth adding that the flagship has the ability to accelerate charging, which allows it to reach 65% in half an hour.

Operating system

The device works on a standard for Chinese gadgets operating system Android. More specifically, this is Android 5 with the Flyme shell.

Output

Model Meizu 5 Pro has a number of similar characteristics to the world famous iPhone 6 Plus. But of course, chinese version not yet ready to compete with such large companies. However, for its level, this is a pretty good device, which is definitely worth paying attention to. This is not to say that the model has no complaints, but it can still guarantee stable operation.
